The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Finnish Open 2020 November 14th to 15th at the Ideapark, Lempäälä, Finland.

The Finnish Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation sponsors the champions of the blue, purple and brown/black belt (female blue and purple/brown/black belt) weight categories with 300€ and the champions of all absolute categories with 300€ for the traveling costs to IBJJF International & European Open competitions 2020-2021 / IBJJF Mundials 2021 / Abu Dhabi International Pro Jiu-Jitsu Championships 2021.
This sponsorship expires on 31.12.2021.

The FBJJF sponsorship is a reimbursement of traveling costs verified with receipts. The FBJJF will reimburse traveling costs (flights, registration fees, accommodation) for the defined competitions, regardless of the date of purchase. Therefore, you may choose to book your flights or register for the competition beforehand and the FBJJF will reimburse you afterwards.

White belts: -64, -70, -76, -82.3, -88.3, -94.3, -100.5, 100.5+ kg and absolute category
Blue belts: -64, -70, -76, -82.3, -88.3, -94.3, -100.5, 100.5+ kg and absolute category
Purple belts: -70, -76, -82.3, -88.3, -94.3, -100.5, 100.5+ kg and absolute category
Brown/Black belts: -70, -76, -82.3, -88.3, -94.3, 94.3+ kg and absolute category

Female

White belts: -58.5, -64, -69, 69+ kg and absolute category
Blue belts: -58.5, -64, -69, 69+ kg and absolute category
Purple/Brown/Black belts: -58.5, -64, 64+ kg and absolute category

All athletes who compete in their weight categories are eligible to register for the absolute category. Absolute category registration opens at the competition arena, and only weight category registration is available prior to the competition.

Note: An athlete proven to be a black belt in judo, have competition experience in freestyle or Greco-Roman wrestling at the nationals level (* In the USA, to have competed at a college level or higher) or to have fought MMA as a professional or amateur at the level of national championship or any international championship, shall not be allowed to enter any FBJJF tournament as a white belt.

The absolute category sponsorship may be used together with the weight category sponsorship for the competition in question 2021.

FBJJF sponsorship is for the individual athlete and may not be transferred or sold. The application for the reimbursement must be filled and sent within ONE (1) month from the competition the athlete has attended.

The best academy of the tournament is awarded to the single academy that gathers the most points from the tournament all categories included (a team consisting of several academies can not compete for the prize in question).
The points are awarded as follows: Gold 9 points, silver 3 points and bronze 1 point.

WEIGHT-IN & KIMONO
Weigh-in will be with the kimono right before the first fight. If a fighter does not make the weight, he/she will be disqualified.

Allowed kimono colors are white, blue and black. The jacket and the pants must be of the same color. Allowed patch locations can be found on the IBJJF website.

Female Purple/Brown/Black belt categories will be fought under purple belt rules.

By enrolling in this competition the athlete agrees to follow the antidoping guidelines set by the Finnish Center for Integrity in Sports (FINCIS) and the rules of the Finnish Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (FBJJF).

PARTICIPATION FEE AND ENROLLMENT
Participation fees depend on the date of enrollment.

55,00 € until October 25th
65,00 € until November 1st
75,00 € until November 8th

Fees must be paid upon enrollment. You may change your category or cancel your registration until the last day of enrollment (Finnish time zone UTC+03:00).

REFUND
The participation fee will be refunded only for a medical certification and if the enrollment has been cancelled in the system before the last day of the enrollment. The last enrollment day is November 8th, 2020.

INSURANCE
The competition organizer does NOT insure the fighters.

For Finns: Kaikilla kilpailuihin osallistuvilla suomalaisilla tulee olla SBJJL:n lisenssi vuodelle 2020.

SPECTATORS
Spectator fee is adults 10€/day and 5-12y 5€/day (at the venue).

EVENT MODIFICATIONS AND/OR CANCELLATION
The event organizer reserves the right to change and/or cancel the event in a short notice in case the recent pandemic situation requires such actions. The competition fees shall be refunded in such case. The event organizer is not responsible for any other compensations.
